About Us
After being a part of the Ormeau area for the past few years we have experienced much kindness and a real sense of community which is becoming quite rare in this day and age.
Being in the middle has it’s advantages with a short commute to Brisbane and the Gold Coast regions, the open spaces and big, beautiful trees. It is a wonderful spot to raise a family and run a business which is why we settled here ourselves.
There are also some disadvantages and having recently built our second home in the area we realised that finding services in Ormeau wasn’t as easy as it seemed. Gold Coast businesses don’t always go as high as Ormeau and Brisbane ones don’t go as low making it frustrating and time consuming finding help.
Before long we met many other business owners and discovered a goldmine full of products and services bringing to mind the old saying “it's not what you know, it's who you know”.
In 2001 we began a graphic and web design studio called Shell Graphix. Having run our highly successful design studio for so many years we have the right knowledge, tools and ability to lauch My Ormeau - a community website for Ormeau and surrounding suburbs. We did not want to ask for any start-up funds and are more than happy dedicating time to making this thought a realisation. Our number one aim is to take the hard work out of finding things in the local area. We have evolved the website to include a huge amount of information and resources and hope this will become a popular website for locals.
It is time to put Ormeau on the map and let everyone know how much this area has to offer.
