Peachey Community Garden

Propagated in August of 2008, Peachey Community Garden has grown with the nutrient input of its members over the last year to be quite an established Garden.

With various reasons for becoming a part of a community garden ranging from how to grow plants, harvesting, meeting new people, to just being a part of creating a community, we are a crop of members looking to expand our knowledge and have fun doing it.

Our philosophy is grounded on organic Permaculture roots encouraging   community growth in a creative way through sharing of tips and tricks in the world of gardening.

We have regular monthly swarms, meeting every second Wednesday of the month. We also have regular busy bees, constructing garden nurserys collecting a hive of information from flowering community members and swarming around BBQ’s for nutritious nectar of community connections.

The gardening field is part of the old Ormeau School grounds now owned by the people of Queensland in trust.

Come on down to our next meeting or working bee and meet the local community. You will be most welcome.
