My Ormeau proudly presents Off the Streets! Have Fun, Stay Safe

WHEN 5.30pm-7.30pm, 31 October 2016 *Fireworks 7.30pm
WHERE Ormeau Centre Crn Pascoe Rd & Cuthbert Dr, Ormeau
WHAT Dress up and collect your treats, disco and meet with friends and family
COST FREE Community Event

My Ormeau is dedicated to building a safe and connected community for families. There’s no denying how much kids love to dress up and just the thought of treats typically results in a smile.

This 31 October we invite you to join us in a new event; ‘Off the Streets’ – an alternative to Halloween which includes the fun of dress-up and goodies, but without knocking on strangers doors, keeping our kids safe.

Come dressed up, bring your treat baskets, travel through the entire Ormeau Centre where you can collect a range of treats (lollies galore!), catch up with friends and do a little disco dancing, say hello to your favourite characters (Elmo, Olaf, Spongebob, Minion, Scooby Doo, Cinderalla and more!) or jump in the castle! It’s an event designed to keep families off the streets while offering a safe, managed, themed event where everyone can come together.

The community atmosphere is abundant in Ormeau and this is our way of adding another free family outting to the annual calendar at a timeslot still suitable for all ages.

Hope to see you there.

A big thank you to our sponsors – Division 1 Cr Donna Gates, Bendigo Bank Ormeau, LJ Hooker Ormeau and Highway Church. Without your support this event would not be possible.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt 2016 – presented by LJ Hooker Ormeau and Highway Church

It’s back again for the 6th year running and due to popular demand it continues to grow in leaps and bounds. Last year even with wet weather thousands of eggs were given out to many smiling, chocolate covered, faces.

SATURDAY 26 March 2016
3.30pm – 6.30pm

Brien Harris Oval (Cnr Peachey Rd & Orange Mountain Road, Ormeau)

LJ Hooker Ormeau and Highway Church invites all residents to come along and hunt for chocolate Easter eggs. Free egg hunt sessions will run every 15 minutes, simply line up in your age zone to participate in the next available hunt.

Free fun for all ages including live entertainment, face painting and jumping castle. Get your photo taken with the Easter Bunny, Hooker Bear and local mascots.

Food vendors will be joining us if you want to purchase drinks, snacks or an early dinner.

We will be closing the event with a special Easter fireworks display (approx. 6.30pm).

As always this event relies on good weather – please keep an eye out here or on our Facebook page for the latest details. Wet weather moved the event to Highway Church in 2015 so fingers crossed for sunshine in 2016.

Hope to see you there!
