Ormeau Junior Cricket Club Inc

Ormeau Junior Cricket Club Inc is a local cricket club for junior players. Currently we have 74 players in under 6’s, under 8’s, under 10’s, under 11’s and under 12’s. Each season as the players age an extra year, we add an extra team in the club.

So next season, we will have teams from under 6’s to under 13’s and over 80 players.

We train locally at Pincally Park and Brien Harris Oval and play matches against other local clubs.

For under 6’s and under 8’s, we run the In2Cricket program as promoted by Cricket Australia.

Our club is actively supported by Cr Donna Gates and the Gold Coast City Council parks and recreation team. The club is sponsored locally by Shearers Arms Tavern and Bendigo Bank Ormeau Branch and supported with donations from Lions Club Ormeau, IGA Ormeau and Gabba Sporting Products.

The Ormeau Junior Australian Football Club is a not for profit incorporated community based football club which is run by the parents for the children in conjunction with the Gold Coast Junior AFL.

Our vision is for the children to learn new skills, how to work and help each other in a disciplined team structure, make new friends and have fun in a safe team oriented environment and create a place for where the parents/carers can come, relax and enjoy watching their children play.

Through this we aim to promote healthy lifestyles for children, a positive atmosphere where the children can come, have fun and feel safe and build the character of the children through the benefits of good sportsmanship through participation rather than winning or losing.

The club is sponsored by Bendigo Bank Ormeau Branch, LJ Hooker Ormeau and supported with donations from many other businesses.

We encourage all families to volunteer a small amount of their time to help with important tasks on game days etc. As the saying goes, many hands make light work, therefore any help you can offer throughout the year, both on & off the field, will be greatly appreciated. There can be a great sense of satisfaction that comes from helping us to help your child.

Our community is growing fast with two new schools as well as growing residential estates like Jacobs Ridge etc. With this in mind, we are expecting a large number of enrolments in our club this year thus making our club bigger than ever before. To help with our growth, we are looking for financial support through sponsorship& fundraising. Without this support the club would not be able to survive & give your children the opportunity to play this great game of Rugby League. If at any time you would like to offer sponsorship or may know of a business who would like to offer sponsorship, please let us know.
